Last I checked, I wasn't working for the U.S. Marine Corps, or any other such corporate outfit that would restrict my ability to communicate with the outside world.
Alas, the company that gets my butt in its chair for eight hours a day has decided to cut off access to Facebook and Twitter.
Guess I'll have to bring a book to read during my downtime. Or blog to excess. Or post really awful phrases from my work on my blog so people can see the idiocy that I have to put up with.
I know, I know, it's a job. A job. Definitely not a career.
So, FB, I bid you adieu for now. Twitter, I hardly knew ye. Company, I did not sign up for military-like control over my surfing.

you could get one of those phones … update your status anyway / push the envelope. i'm SURE you all were spending too much time online. right. : ) you COULD be like a former co-worker or mine, who, according to her FB updates, still finds occasion to knit at work (even in this economy).
i would love to see the memo re: no more FB / twitter.
I heard from two other people in two days (one at the hospital who worked there and was complaining to someone that facebook, etc. was not even avail. in the cybercafe, the break area where people expected it to be), the other … I will have to check fb and see who else. It must be one of those virus-like e-"warnings" sweeping the IT world of corporate jerkwads.
Allyson - You might know this, but I just posted on FB for the first time in months. Did not miss it, but like anything else, if it were prohibited, I would certainly be jumping fences to do it!!!!
Miss you too! Sorry our paths did not cross in Cinci. Too many kids, too little me....
